Bit on education, could come in useful…

…with the dyslexic library idea.
A.S. Neill’s Summerhill school is completely off the wall – they don’t insist that children take GCSEs! I think I like the Steiner idea about teaching the children holistically but from the little I’ve read about Summerhill it sounds completely unstructured. There might be happy children emerging, but I doubt their academic standards. I do believe that happiness is important – more important than money – but perhaps because of my posh education I firmly believe in academic standards too. You can be happy and educated to a high level of academia. Can’t you?
Maybe not all children.
