Cardboard Modelling

Today, to get our 3D mind in gear, we made cardboard models. My project hasn’t taken on much physical form so far – and we had to make a 1:1 model so I couldn’t make a model of a space – so I made a dummy that you can throw things at.

I envisage this dummy as being part of a ‘Satisfaction Fairground’. I started off by thinking about a satisfaction shed but through making the object I was reminded of those sponge throwing things at school fetes. Perhaps my other sketchy ideas would benefit the context of a fairground too – perhaps even as a travelling one, packable into a cart?

Here’s the ‘making of’ pictures…

It does have quite a good bum for a cardboard dummy.

It stands finally!

This looks a bit freaky actually. Like something to do with dead people.
