Make up sticker prototypes

April 18, 2012 § Leave a comment

Here is a series of make up sticker prototypes made with paper and double sided tape. I intend to make some out of vinyl, similar to the last four stickers on the right.

I started off with the idea of making a sticker to cover the whole make up item, but there is such variation in size and shape that too many compromises to aesthetics would have to be made this way.

I put tape around make up before printing out the logo many times to try on many make up items. The kind of sticker I am going to use is simple: it’s just the logo, rather than a strip. It would have been cool to have The Optimist tape, but a sticker of just logo actually works better aesthetically. Make up comes in so many colours, shapes and sizes, that simple is best if it’s not to clash with whatever it’s going on.
